Diamonds Artist Trading Card

Linda here to share a Diamonds Artist Trading Card made because of Maremi's Creative Cafe #52cafecards Challenge. A weekly challenge where a word prompt is given based on the alphabet that we are allowed to interpret into an Artist Trading Card.

This weeks challenge prompt is Bubbles. Thinking about bubbles I decided to try a bubble technique I saw on the internet a while back. Fill a bowl with water and dish soap. Blow bubbles and then spritz with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. Rake your paper, or in this case the ATC through the bubbles to pick up the color.

Here is what I learned. You have to make a lot of bubbles. I mean a lot of bubbles. So get a big bowl. The reason you need a lot of bubbles is when you spray with the mists the bubbles burst and you loose the effect. So the more bubbles you have under the top layer of bubbles to catch the mists the better.

Items used for Diamonds Artist Trading Card:
Diamonds Stamp set
Sterling Embossing Powder
Embossing Ink
Detail Ink Raven
Aubergine Chalk Ink
Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist, Party Pink, Pop Rocks, Turquoise Blue
White card stock
Purple card stock cut to 2.5 in. x 3.5 in.
Pink tread
white glue
Heat tool
Bowl
Water
teaspoon of liquid dish soap
Long Straw - I used a bendy straw so that I knew which end to put in the water vs my mouth.

The technique was fun once I got the hang of how it worked. This would be  a great kids craft. Have the kids blow the bubbles so you don't run out of breath! lol
