Pearl Paste Mothers Day Card
Hey my friend!! I’m glad to have you stop by the blog today. This week on the Inspiration Team Blog Hop, we made it all about the Mommas. In the same groove, I have made another Mothers Day card. This card has so many elements I love, but the Sorbet Pearl Paste background has my heart.
To make this card, I had to make several layers. I used several different shades of violet cardstock. I trimmed down A2 sized panels in each color and created an A2 sized card base out of Neenah Solar White cardstock.
The Sorbet Pearl Paste has a hint of purple in it. It dries translucent with glitter and violet micro pearls. After prepping it with Pixie Spray, I laid the Folkwave Stencil over the lightest color and then with a palette knife I applied the pearl paste over the stencil.
Then I let it dry. Actually, I let it dry for a few days and I made several of these backgrounds. You never know when you’ll need one.
Using a scalloped die, I die cut the ends off of each panel. Then I trimmed each panel down a quarter inch shorter than the last. I adhered them to the card base, one on top of the other with the stenciled panel on top.
Then, I die cut the the letters to spell the greeting, m o m, using the Square Alphabet Die Set. I adhered them to the front of the stenciled panel. Then to finish off the card, I used some violet sequins to add a little more bling.
I hope you enjoyed my little Mothers Day card featuring the Sorbet Pear Paste and the Folkwave Stencil. I created a grid of supplies for your convenience below. If you have been inspired to create with these supplies, you will help me be able to continue creating if you would use my links.
I hope you have a crafty and fun-filled day. Remember to create your own ending!
