Take It Easy Card 1Fun in the Sun 1
Today I have to Summer cards for you using the Beach Bum stamp set from the May Inspiration box.
To start, I stamped all of the images on Perfect Blend Alcohol Paper with Raven Detail ink, colored them in with a variety of Copic markers and then fussy cut them out.  I used a black Copic marker around the edges for a cleaner look to my images.

My first card features the adorable giraffe as he suns himself on the beach.  I started by using some Aqua Pigment Paper and spraying it with Cobalt Blue and Tinsel Blue Chroma Mists.  I wanted it darker towards the top and lighter towards the bottom to mimic the ocean.  Once my panel was dry, I used the direct to paper method, by smearing my Embossing ink all over the bottom of the panel.  I covered the sticky ink with some older embossing powder from my stash and heat set it to make a "beach."

Next, I trimmed my panel with the smaller of the two stitched dies from the Spring Sayings Dies and attached my piece of Lagoon Cardstock cut to 4.25" x 5.5" panel and then a white A2 Card base.
For my scene I used Bearly Art Liquid Glue to attach the umbrella and giraffe and set an acrylic block on them to help them adhere to the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment Take it Easy in Raven Detail ink and quickly covered it with Pearl Embossing Powder.  Once I heat set it, my sentiment has that nice shiny look to help it stand out from the dark blue of the Chroma Mist.

Fun in the Sun Card
For my second card, I started by stamping the Hibiscus Background stamp on some white cardstock with Simon Hurley Rosy Cheek Ink. I quickly covered it with Clear Embossing Ink and heat set it.  Then I used Over the Moon Ink (also from Simon Hurley) to do an embossed resist ink over the white areas of my card.  When I was happy with the blend, I covered the entire panel with Embossing ink and Triple Thick Embossing Powder, which once set, gave a shine to my entire panel.

I cut the panel with an stitched die from my stash. and arranged all of my summer toy images around the front of the panel.  I used some of the cut off pieces to fill in other parts of the panel.
Next, I stamped the Fun in the Sun sentiment on a small blue scrap of paper and covered it with Raven Embossing Powder.  I cut it out with a stitched circle form my stash and attached it to the front of my card with Bearly Art Liquid Glue.  Then I attached the whole thing to a white A2 card base.
