Embrace that Chroma Glaze!

Embrace that Chroma Glaze!

Hello friends!! I’m so excited to share my first blog post here on the Inspiration Team.

To begin I am playing with Chroma glaze in gold and Embrace stencil.

First I taped the stencil to a panel of watercolor paper on the flip side to keep it from moving around and ink-blended three different shades of distress inks through the stencil. I let the panel dry for 5-7 minutes to ensure the ink was completely dry before the next step.

With the stencil still on after ink-blending; I applied the chroma glaze through the stencil with a sponge. Using a sponge created a unique texture as compared to using a palette knife or a spatula which gives a smoother finish.

Once done, I took the stencil off and washed it immediately to keep it clean. The glaze layer took about 10 mins to dry completely. I loved this panel so much that I decided to create a couple more !! The effect is so pretty that I did not want to cover up too much of the card. I simply adhered the panels to A2 size card bases, added a few gems for sparkle and simple sentiment strips to finish it off.

I hope you are able to give this technique a try, it really gives some pretty results. If you do please tag me @table_in_the_attic or @brutusmonroe so we can stop by to admire your lovely creations!

Happy Wednesday.
