Blueprint and Gears - A Masculine Card

Blueprint and Gears - A Masculine Card

Hello Friday! Linda here with a Blueprint and Gears - A Masculine Card. After getting my Inspiration Team box just over a week ago I started playing with all the new items. One of those was The Midway Paper Pad.

One of the pages is a blueprint to a Merry Go Round. This makes a perfect background for a greeting card. Pulling this page out of the pad and then using a pair of scissors I went around the edge to distress the paper. Next I use the Detail Ink - Raven in a direct to paper distressing around the edge. This will be my card topper for a 6 x 6 card.

Using a Spellbinders gears die I cut the die shapes out of chipboard. Next I sprayed with It's Black Tattered Angel's Glimmer Mist. These were set aside to dry.

Took Happy Birthday out of the Terry's Trains Set and stamped with Detail Ink - Raven on a scrap of craft cardstock. Distressed the edges of this piece in the same manner as the blueprint card topper.

Cut a piece of the burlap out of the paper pad. Measuring just slightly larger than the Happy Birthday sentiment cut burlap and frayed the edges.

Assemble the card, layer blueprint on 6 by 6 card foundation. Glue gears in a pleasing arrangement. Adhere burlap and Birthday sentiment on top. Last sprinkle drops of It's Black Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist to complete the card.

Here is a video of the whole process.

This was a quick card. I hope you enjoyed Blueprint and Gears - A Masculine Card and will make one for that special guy in your life.
