Autumn Greetings with Pumpkin Faces

Autumn Greetings with Pumpkin Faces

Hello! One of my favorite memories of fall has always been picking out pumpkins at the pumpkin farm then taking them home and carving each up in many unique funny faces to set on our porch lit on Halloween night. Brutus Monroe has made it possible to choose your pumpkin and face without the mess, ok maybe a crafty one, but it is worth it and much easier to clean up! 😀

To create this card I decided to dust off my colored pencils and do some masking to create a simple, sweet scene using two new Brutus Monroe fall stamp sets, Pumpkin Faces and Scare Crows. To begin I choose the pumpkins that I wanted to use. This set is so great because it includes TEN different styles of pumpkins and eleven faces to add, or you can leave them as solid pumpkins.

Once the pumpkins were stamped in a row with Raven detail ink I masked each off using Brutus Monroe masking paper to add the fence and the corn stalks from Scare Crow.

The coloring was simple, relaxing and so much fun. The sentiment Autumn Blessings is heat embossed with coffee grounds embossing powder the September embossing powder of the month.

The final step was to add brown ribbon to the top and bottom of the panel for edging and attach it to a card base of brown butter cardstock

I hope this card encourages you see how much fun you can have creating with this versatile Pumpkin Faces stamp set.  You will not be disappointed!

-Have a fabulous day!
