Vintage Special Day Card with Jess
Hey friends!
It's Jess and I'm thrilled to be back on the Brutus Monroe blog today with something a little different. I wanted to use the Special Day stamp set from the June Release, but I wanted to go for something off the beaten path. I decided to try a vintage feel with my card.

I started by stamping the dress form and 'save the date' on a piece of white card stock using my Mini MISTI. I used my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers to add shading to the dress and make it a little more grungy.

Next, I used Pumice Stone Distress Ink to darken the edges of my card stock. I also used this ink to do a little second generation stamping of one of the butterfly images from Butterfly Sentiments 2.0.

Once I was happy with the butterflies, I added some splatter in Pumice Stone. I also added splatter with a metallic bronze acrylic paint for a little added interest. I popped the card front up on foam for dimension and added a rustic jute bow.

I hope this card inspires you to create something a little different with one of the sets already in your stash. There's nothing better than getting more out of what you've already purchased!
Hugs and love,
