Spring Card Featuring Dragonfly Garden

Spring Card Featuring Dragonfly Garden

Hey Crafty Friends!

I'm excited to be back on the Brutus Monroe blog today with a (dare I say?) Spring card! I'm pretty much over the cold, even though we've had a very mild winter so far, so I figured I'd get things rolling with a bright and cheery card featuring Dragonfly Garden.

To start things off, I stamped a bunch of the images from Dragonfly Garden on a piece of white card stock. I used Surface Inks in Cabbage, Honeysuckle, Jurassic, Rouge, Sea, Stargazer, and Zest for this. I really like the way these bright colors worked so well together.

I cut a piece of vellum and a strip of black card stock and adhered them together. I used Alabaster Embossing Powder and Embossing Ink to heat set the 'hello' sentiment and then mounted this to my card.

I stamped a few flowers and leaves from the Dragonfly Garden set and fussy cut them. I used foam tape to pop up two of the flowers and glued them to my card front.

I wanted a coordinating card base, so I used the Zest Surface Ink to change the color of my white card stock to yellow. This gave me a perfectly color matched card base. Hooray! To finish off the card, I added a few clear drops in various sizes.

I hope this cards gives you all the Spring vibes if you're having some Winter blues. I know I'm ready for some sunny and 75 days!

Hugs and love,
