Release Week April 2017

 Happy Release Week All!

I find I am always excited to see what new items are coming out. I love creating new cards and crafty items with them.  I am thrilled to share two cards made using multiple Brutus Monroe stamps, inks and embossing powders with you this week. These cards highlight three of the newly released stamp sets. They are Swallowtail background stamp, Enchanted Rose background stamp, and Rock On sentiment stamp set.

I love my layers and this card is no different! I started with a black card base, then added the next layer by stamping the Swallowtail (butterfly) background stamp in purple on purple paper. I layered an embossed frame on next. Then I got down to some Brutus Monroe Bountiful Botanical flower stamping and coloring.  I placed the flowers to appear as if they are growing out of the frame. I added an Alabaster embossed butterfly from the Butterfly Sentiments 2.0 stamp set, using the coordinating die to cut it out and dementionals to give it depth. Finally, I embossed the sentiment from the B/M Bountiful Botanicals stamp set onto a banner to complete the card.

I think this B/M Enchanted Rose background stamp will be one of my favorites. I have imagined so many possibilities with it.  On this card I have embossed the the stamped image using B/M Raven. I love the shiny black outline created. I ink blended the flowers and leaves and added a thin black frame. Next, I embossed the sentiment from the B/M Rock On stamp set in Alabaster on vellum, die cut it out and added a thin black die cut frame to the sentiment. Placed this on a coordinating card base to finish.
