Making Card with a Bountiful Harvest Card Panel

Making Card with a Bountiful Harvest Card Panel

Hey everyone! This is Daniel West!  I hope your Saturday holds a ton of happiness in store. To help you focus on the upcoming pumpkin-pie-crazy holidays, I made a card using a Bountiful Harvest Card Panel that came in October's Brutus Monroe Inspiration Box.

I had seen Christopher Alan foil and color one of the apple panels from this kit and knew I wanted it right away.  I ordered mine this week and it came in just a few days!!

I got my laminator out and a piece of parchment paper, along with a piece of Deco Foil Gold Foil. I sandwiched the Pumpkin card panel inside the parchment paper and under the foil and ran it through the laminator.  Pure magic!  I love peeling off plastic from new phones and gadgets--peeling foil brings the same smile to my face.

I grabbed some Copic Alcohol markers and colored in some of the pumpkins on the card with brown and orange. I colored in some of the leaves with a blue green marker.

After coloring in the images, I cut down a strip of Jack O Lantern Cardstock for a ribbon across the front of the panel. I stamped a sentiment from the Autumn Sunrise Stamp Set with Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink and heat embossed it with Brutus Monroe Icicle Embossing Powder.  This leaves a darker watermark looking sentiment that matches the cardstock color.  I took some of the leaves from the same stamp set and stamped them along the left-hand side of the strip with the same Embossing Ink.

I used some Brutus Monroe All-Purpose Craft Glue to adhere the pumpkin panel to an A2-sized Neenah Classic Crest 110lb cardbase.  I adhered the embossed colored cardstock strip to the top of the panel and took some photos of this baby.

Thanks for joining me today and let me know what you think of this color combo in the comments below.  If you haven't picked up the Autumn Sunrise stamp set and the other supplies mentioned above, go ahead and grab some today.   You'll have them in your hands in no time, to play with them before pumpkin pie season winds down in January.

I have listed the supplies for this card with affiliate links below.  If you click on these links, they'll take you to supplies and when you make a purchase, you help me a little at no additional cost to you.
