Happy Hanukkah Card with the Stencil of the Month
Hello my friends, this is Daniel! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. I have a Hanukkah Card for you today. The stencil of the month for December 2018 has a beautiful Star of David pattern, so I took out my blue Surface Sprays and got to work.
First, I laid down a sheet of Neenah Solar White and glued the center of the stencil down to the middle with some Tack Over and Over glue. This glue will hold the stencil in place and come right off when you want it to. Just rub your finger over it to peel it up. I sprayed it with Cornflower Surface Ink then cleaned off the stencil and moved it over just a quarter inch. Then I sprayed it with Oz Surface spray and dried it with my heat gun. The results are a tri-tone bluish green background pattern, that preserves the Star of David throughout.
For the sentiment, I wanted to highlight Brutus Monroe's amazing Square Alphabet Die Set. I grabbed some silver card stock I had in my stash and die cut the word 'peace' using my Cuttlebug by Cricut. The beauty of this die set is that you can use the blocked letter or the thin letter for your sentiment. I chose to use a combination of the two.
I glued them down using Brutus Monroe All-purpose Craft Glue. I trimmed down the panel to about 2.5" x 4" and popped it up on some foam tape. I adhered that to the front of a 4.25" x 5.5" card base made from a half sheet of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock.
I hope you enjoyed this simple yet elegant Hanukkah greeting. I have listed the supplies I used below with affiliate links. If you click on these links and purchase supplies, I will receive a percentage of your purchase at no additional cost to you.
I wish you all a Happy Hanukkah and a Merry Christmas!!
