Grateful Junk Journal
When I saw the Turkey Day stamp set I knew it would make a good theme for a Grateful Junk Journal. There are so many things that we need to remember to be grateful about in our lives and having a journal dedicated to Being Grateful is a great way to remember.
Pulling a few scraps of paper from my stash I proceeded to make a journal. It is always good to use up those bits from other projects. Some of these papers have been around for years!
Using my MISTI I placed the Grateful stamp from Turkey Day inside and used Brutus Monroe Detail Ink to stamp on white cardstock.
Next I colored the leaves with Chameleon Pens. Then used Brutus Monroe Surface ink - Jack O Lantern to give the edge a little of color. I did the same on all of the cover papers.
I love adding sparkle to projects, for the Grateful Junk Journal I added some Tulip Dimensional Paint to the leaves.
Adhered fall confetti leaves to the corners of my panel.. Layered the papers using Brutus Monroe Craft Glue. and did some sewing on the top and bottom. Also added some beautiful copper glitter washi tape. Just love how this looks!
This Travelers Notebook Junk Journal measures 8.25 inches tall by 4.25 inches wide. There are 10 sheets of various papers, scrapbook papers, coloring book pages, map, mop up paper and more inside.
I even used two more of the fall confetti on the strings in the center of the Grateful Junk Journal.
Here is a video of making this Grateful Junk Journal.
This will be a good journal to remember all the things I should be grateful for in life. What would you write in your Grateful Junk Journal?
