Get Lost!

Get Lost!

One of my favorite sentiment stamp sets from the April release has been "Rock On". I love all the fun sayings in this set and a few of them even surprised me a little! This sentiment that I used here, "Get Lost", stumped me a little bit on how to use it. When I saw this fun little trailer image, though, I knew it was a perfect fit!

First, I took the sentiment and stamped it out on vellum using Brutus Monroe's Embossing Ink, and then embossed it in gold using the Gilded Embossing Powder. Once it was cool, I fussy cut it out and set it aside as I built the scenery for my card.

I used a little Cabbage Surface Ink to blend on some grass, and then some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to blend on the sky. I took some little tree images from another stamp set and then stamped, die cut, and blended on some more Cabbage and also some Jurassic Surface Ink to color them.

The trailer image is a wood mounted stamp I found on sale at my local craft store. I stamped it out using Detail Raven Black Ink, and then colored it in with my Prismacolor pencils. I fussy cut out the trailer and then adhered it with some foam adhesive to give it some dimension.

Next, using the little bird image from the Birthday Bears Stamp Set, I stamped the bird and also colored that in with Prismacolors.

I tucked a little washi tape behind my scenery panel on the right side of the card for some more interest, and then adhered my sentiment to the card with a little liquid glue.

Such a fun clean and simple card that goes well with that snarky sentiment! Hope this gives you some ideas and inspiration for your own crafting, as well. Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
