Four Embossing Folder Techniques!
Have you seen the four embossing folders Brutus Monroe released? If not, continue reading! Today I am sharing with you all four of them and four different techniques you can use with them to achieve stunning results!
The first technique is the most common way to use an embossing folder and that is to just run a sheet of paper through. For the above card I decided to run a piece of white card stock, stamp a sentiment and use some lovely silver to finish it off.
The next card I used a different color core card stock. I embossed it and then sanded it. I thought it was perfect for a Halloween card!
I love the look of foil in my art, so I ran some Rinea Foiled Paper through with the embossing folder. I finished it off with a fun stamp and bright yellow sequins.
Finally, the fourth image requires a few more steps, but the results are worth it! I embossed a white piece of card stock. I lightly ran the embossing ink pad over the raised surface and heat set it with Penny Embossing Powder. Now, this is the fun part! Pick out three colors of inks, mist or Color Burst and spray or sprinkle all over. I used Color burst! Take a baby wipe and lightly dab to remove the color from the embossed image. As that dries, die cut a tag, stamp and image and color it in with marker.
