February Stamp Club- Hey Foxy!
I hope you get as excited as I do for each month's STAMP CLUB stamp! For February, Brutus Monroe has this adorable little fox stamp that comes with a few accessories as well as some sentiments.
I decided to make a few mini cards to use as Valentines. I stamped out the fox several times and also embossed it in black using RAVEN EMBOSSING POWDER along with the EMBOSSING INK. I embossed it because I knew I wanted to use my Zig watercolor brushes, and embossing your image when watercoloring really helps you to stay within the lines!
So after my images were stamped out, I fussy cut them and set them aside to work on my little card bases. These little note cards were made with a note card die and cut from some grey cardstock.
Next, I used some light colored inks to create backgrounds for these foxes. I also added some washi tape and embossed the sentiment on vellum using the GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER.
I also embossed the little bow on some vellum, and added it to the head of one of the foxes to make her look more feminine, and to the neck of the other for a more masculine look. I LOVE how you can get more variety out of this little set this way!
Now, if you just wanted to create a simple pattern with this set and not use the foxes, you can do that, as well! I took the heart image, stamped and embossed it in GILDED again, and filled them in using some Nuvo drops. They add some fun color and dry with dimension, giving the card a really fun look.
So even though the Stamp Club stamps may be small, they have so many great uses! The STAMP CLUB is also a great value, at only $5 per month (this includes shipping!). Along with a monthly 2x3 stamp set, you also get 10% off in the online store EVERY ORDER. Awesome, right?
Hope you enjoyed todays post!
Until next time,
