Birthdays Are Scary- January Stamp Club

Have you seen the January stamp for Stamp Club yet? When I first saw it I couldn't wait to create! This little monster is so cute and it comes with a few sentiments that makes it easy to put on a card for different occasions. I decided to make my card a birthday card since I will be having a lot of birthdays coming up to send cards out for!

I started by stamping out the monster and coloring him in with my Prismacolor pencils. I also combined this stamp set with the Birthday Wish stamp set. I took a party hat and the balloon image and stamped those out and colored them, as well. Then, I fussy cut out all the little pieces and set them aside while I worked on my card base.

For my card base, I took a few strips on patterned paper and adhered them down to the left side of my card. Then, I cut down a cardstock panel to slightly narrower than the card so that the patterned paper would be peeking out the side. I stamped some stars around where I knew I wanted the monster, and then colored them with some silver Wink of Stella.

I then adhered the monster down on some foam adhesive. Then, I arranged my three balloons above, and adhered them down. The one with my embossed sentiment on I used foam adhesive to pop it up. I took a little white thread and attached them to the balloon, and then behind the monster's hand to make it look like he was holding them.

The last thing I did was I added a few white sequins around the stars. I hope this gives you some inspiration for your Stamp Club Stamps! If you haven't checked out the Stamp Club yet, give it a look! It's a great value at only $5 a month!

Until next time,
Marie Nicole
