Birthdays are Scary Jan Stamp Club

Birthdays are Scary Jan Stamp Club

Linda here to share that Birthdays are Scary Jan Stamp Club greeting card.

A new package arrived and inside was the January Stamp club stamp set. Super cute little set. Seeing this little set I just knew how I wanted to use it in my card.

This year my biggest goal is to use as much of my scraps as possible. When I have a scrap of paper left over after a project I place it by color in a 12 by 12 pocket keeper. Pulling the green pocket keeper of scraps I started pulling out pieces of green that would work.

Once I had all the bits of paper on my desk I started making an arrangement. I could see that I would need one other color so I found a sea blue piece of paper in my blue pocket of scraps.

To begin I cut a 2.5 by 2.5 inch square of white card stock and stamped the little monster in Detail Ink - Raven. Then I stamped the tiny star from the same set all around the little monster. Rounded the corners of this piece.

Made a mat with a scrap of sage green, rounded the corners and then used Sage Premium Chalk ink around the edges. Added a second mat of Sea blue, rounded the corners and then used Sea Premium Chalk ink around the edges of this mat as well.

Using my markers I colored the monster and the stars to match the background paper.

Stamped Birthdays are scary! and the little star on a scrap of white paper with Detail Ink - Raven. Used my McGill Label punch I cut out the saying. Colored the stars with yellow marker.

The same McGill label punch has a second larger punch, that was used with the sage green paper. Used Sage Premium Chalk ink around the edges. I wanted one more layer so I cut a rectangle and rounded the corners. Then went around the edges with the Sea Premium Chalk ink.

The base card is an A2 card. Using the same sea blue paper I cut a mat just slightly smaller than the card. Rounded the corners with my Crop A Dial. The striped piece was already four inches wide so I just trimmed it down to 5.25 inches tall. These to layers were adhered together.

Placed the Sea ribbon on the lower half of the card and wrapped to the back of the mat. Adhered to the card front.

Used pop dots to adhere the Monster layers and the birthdays are scary layers. and for a final touch added self adhesive rhinestones.

To some Birthdays are Scary. But with the January Stamp Club set, these birthdays can be a lot more fun. ;)
