You rock card

You rock card

Have you all seen this month’s inspiration box and specially the stamp set that comes in it!?

I tell you, guys! Christopher just keeps outdoing himself every month!

The inspiration box theme is “rock on” and the stamp set just simply screams rock ‘n roll and music.

Now, I have been playing with the stamps plenty, believe me,  but I hadn’t done the mirror stamping technique with it yet, so that’s what I did with it.

The first step was to make one of my dudes face the opposite way that the stamp intended. I used my very handy waffle flower water mat.

I stamped my dude on my water mat, and immediately after I place my precut card stock on top and pressed firmly everywhere to make sure the ink transferred to my paper successfully.

Now,  mirror stamping is not the same as regular stamping, so your image won’t be as crisp as it could be, but with a black multi liner we have a perfect solution. I traced my image with my black pen and it was then perfect.

Now that I had my one dude facing the way I wanted him to I went ahead and stamped my second guy next to the first one.

Lastly, I roughly sketched some flames behind both images. Now all was left to do was color all of my images. I used copic markers for all of my coloring and when I was finished I decided to color all the white spaces black.

I mounted my card onto a base and stamped my sentiment.

That’s it. This is such a cool and masculine card and I love it.

Luisana … ‘ROCKED’ it in this card. It could be masculine, but then it be for someone in any age group (as a pun to our past, I’m 70), for any mother with twin boys entering puberty, there are so many occasions where this beautiful card could be applied. Great job of coloring too.
