Watercolor Pumpkins using Aqua Pigments + Pumpkin Faces Stamp Set
Hello, crafty friends! Welcome back to the blog!
Today, I would like to share with you this simple fall card I created using the new AQUA PIGMENTS along with the PUMPKIN FACES STAMP SET.
I stamped out a number of these pumpkins onto my AQUA PIGMENT PAPER. I created a row of these pumpkins, and also created some depth to the scene by using MASKING PAPER to make it look like some pumpkins were behind the ones in front.
After I had these pumpkins stamped out, I began adding my colors. I used my RAVEN DETAIL INK because I knew it would not smudge with these watercolors. First, I added a layer of YELLOW, and let that dry. My next layer of color was ORANGE, followed by a little bit of RED, and finally some BROWN.
When my pumpkins were done, I added a little BROWN and GREEN underneath them for some ground, and then added some TURQUOISE for the sky above. I kept all the colors very light, since I do like to leave a bit of white space on my cards.
Next, I added some splatters of brown and orange, and then stamped the sentiment and embossed in GILDED EMBOSSING POWDER. I added a little twine bow and a few sequins around the sentiment. Then, I added the whole watercolored panel to a LUNCHBAG KRAFT CARDSTOCK card base.
I paired this card with a WAGON ENVELOPE, and it was finished! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope this gave you a little watercolor inspiration. Have a great day, and remember to always CREATE YOUR OWN ENDING!
Until next time,
Marie Nicole
