Vintage feel card

Vintage feel card

Hi everyone, welcome back to another Monday with Luisana.

For today I bring your card made with one of my favorite stamps from Brutus Monroe. This stamp is called “owl always love you” and it features two super cute owls and a sentiment.

I stamped my owls onto Strathmore marker paper, I used raven ink to ensure that I would not have any bleeding when I colored it with my copic markers.

I wanted these owls to look very colorful so I colored them in the brightest markers I could find. When I was done with my coloring I found a very pretty Gina Marie designs die. I proceeded to die cut the sentiment that I had stamped on a different piece of paper, using a different die from Gina Marie designs as well. Now it was time to find a pretty background that would go with the theme of my owls, and I found these gorgeous papers with these printed flowers that have this vintage feel to it.

So, I grabbed the same die set I had used on my owls and I cut the printed paper using my die cutting machine and the die in the largest one that I could find, I then proceeded to glue my background flower paper onto a white base that I had previously cut to 4 1/4“ x 5 1/2“. I adhered my owls offset to the center of their card and the sentiment to the side of the owls and called it a day.

I truly love how these owls look, this is definitely one of my favorite stamps from Bluetooth Monroe. I encourage you to play with older stamp sets that you may have that you haven’t touched in a while, I sure am glad that I did. That is it for me today, I am so thankful that you read my post today and hopefully you were inspired to create something pretty.

I will see you all again on Wednesday for our weekly blog hop.
