Those Feathered Friends Branches!
Hey there! Daniel here with a simple and beautiful design featuring the branch from the Feathered Friends Stamp Set from Brutus Monroe. Thank you for joining me here on the blog this morning.
I really cannot get enough of this branch image. It totally reminds me of the orchards we have in abundance here in Rhode Island. While they are mostly apples, I thought peaches would look great (and I had a peach stamp in my stash), so I created a tiny scene with peach tree branches.
To begin, I stamped the branch image three times, in a rotation around my card panel. Then I colored the leaves in with two shades of yellow green alcohol markers. The wood I colored in with one shade of brown. This is really simple coloring, nothing fancy.
Then I grabbed a card base with a background I created a couple of months ago using the Vintage Burlap Background Collaboration Stamp. I adhered a 4 x 5.25" piece of brown cardstock to the front right of the card base. Then I adhered the panel with the branches over that.
I grabbed the peach image from my stash and stamped it out several times, blending the Apricot and Jack O Lantern inks right on the stamp. Then I cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut.
Finally, I stamped heat embossed my sentiment on some Raven cardstock using B|M Clear Embossing Ink and Alabaster Embossing Powder.
I hope you enjoyed this little beauty and if you don't have this stamp set, it has so many possibilities. All of the images it contains are addictive!!
