My New Favorite Stamp Set! - April Flower Market Stamps & Dies

 Hello crafty & non-crafty people! This is Jenni Calma and I am on the Blog today to share what is my Must-Have Stamp set right now!

Like any hobby, you can usually tell your favorites by how much they have been used (unless you are a scrapbooker and probably have a cache of precious papers that you were saving for that special page.)  The photo below shows that my 'Flower Market' Stamp set is already well used!

Obviously, this is a Spring set, but it can easily be changed up with colors to be a Fall or Holiday card. It can be a full, lovely container of all kinds of flowers or in this case, a simple symmetrical design. Beyond that it gives me the ability to do my favorite thing, which is to customize the design, and in this case to create a scene.

 First, using the Detail Ink in 'Raven,' I stamped all the images from the set and using Zig Markers colored them all in different colors. Then I sat down with Netflix and fussy cut all the colored images. There are coordinating dies for this set, but I wanted to layer and overlap the stems and flowers to look more realistic.

I heat embossed 'Icicle' over the 'Wild Petals' 6x6 stencil for the card background for a little subtle texture & interest. The I set about creating my flower market vases, trying to vary heights & color to balance the vignette. Another must-have for me are the 'Sentiment Strips,' they make finishing the card so much easier!  Also, the sentiments included in the stamp set are versatile and honestly perfect for the kind of cards I send most.
