Take Flight Shaker

Take Flight Shaker

Happy Wednesday friends!  It's Cassie here with another card for you.  Today I decided to step away from Holiday cards to work on a few birthday cards, because I always need birthday cards.  Making a shaker seemed like the way to go, so I cut a circle out of some Tangerine Glitterstock that I had trimmed down to 4" x 5 1/2".  I lined that with some acetate and added some Foam Tape all around the circle and the back of my Glitterstock panel.  I had doubled up my Foam Tape to make sure my shaker had plenty of room for the shaker bits.  I added some glitter and microbeads, and then attached that to my Not Your Mama's Heavy Weight cardstock card base.

Next I stamped my butterfly from the Take Flight stamp set onto some Heat Resistant Vellum using Embossing Ink.  I covered that with some Raven Sparkle Embossing Powder (one of my absolute faves!), and then heat set that until it was melted.  I colored my butterfly on the back of the vellum using some alcohol markers and then fussy cut that out.

My butterfly was attached to the acetate using very small strips of foam tape, so that you wouldn't be able to see it through the vellum.  I stamped my sentiment onto some white cardstock using Raven Detail ink, and my card was finished!  I hope you enjoyed today's card and can't wait to see you next week!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cassie
