Sweater Weather

Hello Crafty friends! Thanks for joining me today. The card today is all about COFFEE! Anyone who knows me knows I am sustained on coffee alone (kidding, not really). I drink about a pot a day. I love anything coffee related so I just had to play with these adorable coffee cups.

For the background I did some simple ink blending. I taped off the middle of the card with masking paper and using a blending brush lightly brushed on Pumice Stone distress oxide ink. I kept blending upwards until I had a bit of an ombre effect. This is on Neenah 110 lb paper. For me doing blends like this is only possible on this. I've tried many different things and you should experiment until you find the combination that works for you.

The cups are done with copics. The main body of the cups are done in E40, E43 & E44. The lefthand side sweater cup warmer is done in BG78, BG75 & BG72. This is my newest favorite combo! The middle cup warmer is done in RV69, RV66 & RV63. Lastly the yellow cup warmer is Y38, Y35 & YR31.

Finally the sentiment is done with Versafine Onyx Black ink so its crisp & a deep deep black. I stamped the sentiment last so as not to smear or smudge it while it dries since this ink being a pigment ink does take some extra time to dry.

Thank you for stopping by!
