Surface Sprays on Pattern Paper Halloween Card
Hello Brutus Monroe Fans!
Today I'm using some of the new items from Brutus Monroe! I don't know about you guys but when I get a product that I've never used before I kind of want to just play with it and see what it does. Which is how I created the background for this card. I wanted to know what the Surface Sprays would look like sprayed on to some of the new paper pads from Brutus Monroe. Have you seen those? They are fabulous.
For this card I used the purple diamond pattern from The Haunted Mansion paper pad and the beautiful Cabbage Surface Spray, which is a lovely shade of green! You can't see it because the little monsters are hiding most of the detail but I did spray over the September stencil. They are so easy to use with stencils and it looked cool but I ended up blocking it in the end.
The cute little monsters are from the Monster Selfie set. I stamped them using a Copic friendly ink on Neenah 80lb cardstock and the colors I used are listed below. Once colored, I fussy cut the monsters out, leaving a white border.
Before adhering everything together, I also used Brutus Monroe Embossing ink and stamped the the Happy Halloween image from the Trick or Treat set. Then adhered that to a card base and add the monsters on top. I also cut into the tombstone pattern paper from the Haunted Mansion paper pad. Cutting one line of the gravestones to add to the front of the card popped up a bit with foam tape.
I have this video here on my Youtube channel showing how the Surface Spray inks work with the new Paper pads.
