Summer Fun

Hello friends! Kathy here today with sunny inspiration using the current stencil of the month, a stamp and sentiment from the June Inspiration Box, Chroma Glaze and colored inks.

Here are the supplies you will need:

To get started, spray the back of the stencil with a light layer of Pixie Spray, allowing a minute or two to get tacky. Since the stencil has some fine details, spraying with Pixie Spray before placing on the paper will help with a nicely defined image. Center the stencil on the white cardstock.

Blend yellow ink in the center portion of the stencil and then add a ring of orange around the perimeter. Remove the stencil from the background.

Without adding additional ink to your blending tool, apply a second-generation blend of both colors to mute the white background on the cardstock.

Align the stencil on the blended background and secure in position.

Using a palette knife or scraper, spread a layer of Chroma Glaze over the entire stencil surface. Gently lift the stencil off the paper in one clean motion. Set the background aside to dry.

On scraps of white cardstock, stamp the sentiment and sun image using Raven Detail ink.

Blend the center of the sun with yellow and orange around the outer edge. Cut the sun out using the matching die.

Trim the sentiment and blend with yellow and orange. Cut a small scrap of black cardstock slightly larger than the sentiment and adhere together with liquid adhesive.

Once dry, trim the background equally from all sides to 4 x 5 ¼.  Attach to the black layering panel and then adhere to the white card base with foam tape. Attach the sun and sentiment in the center of the card panel with foam tape.

Add a few embellishments around the sentiment for some extra bling.

Chroma Glaze adds amazing shine and dimension to any project. Don’t be afraid to give it a try!
