String Lights & Special Day
Hello crafty friends! Lauren here, sharing this card that I made with the new "String Lights" and "Special Day" stamp sets.
I started by heat embossing the string lights with Gilded EP and then heat embossing the dress as if it was hanging from the lights. I did a very light wash of Pink Aqua Pigment around the dress, and a light wash of yellow up around the lights. I heat embossed a second dress on a piece of vellum, and fussy cut the lower portion of the dress. I adhered the bottom of the vellum skirt with some thin foam tape, and the top with glue, so in person it gives the effect of the bottom of the skirt puffing out a bit. I used gold thread for a bow on the waistline.
I used a small hand-held stitching machine to go around the edge of the card with more gold thread. I tied the threads off in a bow in the lower left corner. Then I heat embossed the sentiment in Alabaster EP onto gold cardstock and trimmed it into a banner shape. I finished off the card with a few pieces of gold confetti.
