Fun, Bold Card with Brutus Monroe Stained Glass die and Arteza Mica Powders

Hello my friends! Shannon Smith here ready to play!

I have been thoroughly loving my time thus far on the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team. I am excited to share a closer look at one of my projects.

This card is super easy but delivers a striking effect! I will list the supplies as we go and again at the bottom of the post in a list.

I recently purchased these mica powders after watching Christopher Alan play with them on one of his lives. I purchased Arteza’s package of 60. These are versatile and lots of fun to experiment with.

  1. I cut out the Stained Glass die cut using lightweight black cardstock. I ran it through a couple of times to be sure all the details cut through.
  2. I cut a white panel of Not Your Mama's Cardstock to 3 7/8 × 5 3/16. I used the Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink all over the top side of the white panel to give the mica powder something to stick to.
  3. Using a small blending brush and working from the center out, I started applying the color. I laid the die on top every so often to gauge where to put my color down.
  4. Once I had all my color down, I adhered the die to the panel using Easy Squeeze Crystal Clear Glue. I added some interest by flicking some black sparkle pen across the card. I used Raven ink to stamp the sentiment from the Botanical Banners set. I added the sentiment and some little embellishments to the card and simply attached it to a white card base.

I love the results!
