After die cutting several of the trees in a different sizes and colors, I used the embossing ink and Plaid Tidings stamp on each of the die cuts and covered them with the Holiday Party embossing powder. When you heat set this, it sparkles and shines and has amazing red and green glitter and white specks! It is gorgeous, and I want to put it on everything now.
I embossed the sentiment from the Seasonal Sentiments set onto Whitewash cardstock using the Gilded embossing powder. I thought a slimline card would be perfect so I could fit all those sparkly trees! I couldn't find the perfect color cardstock to mount the whitewash piece onto - so I made my own! Whenever you can't find just the right color to match your inks or embossing, you can make your own! I took a piece of red cardstock and use the embossing ink pad direct to paper along all the sides of the red cardstock, making sure I got it all nice and juicy with embossing ink. Then I poured the Holiday Party embossing powder all along the edges where I had inked and then heat set it. It made the perfect mat piece for my main panel and helps bring in more of that sparkly goodness!
I hope you enjoyed my card for today - Happy Crafting!
