Smile, You Rock !
Hey everyone, Tracy here with you today sharing my first post.
Im not sure about you but sometimes I think we dont get enough use out of some of our stamps. Today I'm going to show how you can use larger stamps like Underwater Friends in a slightly different way.
I decided to cut one of the sea cretures out from the stamp and make him the main focal point of the card, I wanted this to be a bit of a tongue in check card so I used the sentiments from the Textured Wings stamp set.
I coloured the handsome chap in with Alcohol markers and then put to one side whilst I created the card. I stamped the main stamp onto some blue card using Embossing ink as this gives a really nice tone on tone look.
For the foreground pieces I cut them out from some textured card and once I had stamped the sentiment I adhered them using Foam Tape for dimension.
To add a little bit something extra I double mat and layered onto some silver card and then some black card before adding it to the card base which was slightly smaller than A2.
To finish off I added some clear droplets and some white gel pen detail.
I think this is such an easy and fun way to get more out of these sorts of stamps, and think of all the fun cards you could create with the different sea creatures.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have an amazing crafty day.
