SENDING YOU OCEANS OF LOVE/NICOLE MARTEL
Hello friends. Nicole here with a cute slimline card I created using the Underwater Friends Stamp set and the Mermaid Embossing Powder. As soon as I saw the mermaid, I just knew I wanted to create a colorful card with a cool background.
To begin, I placed the stencil onto my sticky mat and then I stamped the embossing ink all over.
The sticky mat really helped keep the stencil in place. The image is nice and crisp!
Next, I poured lots of Mermaid Embossing Powder all over the card.
Next, I used my heat gun to apply heat all over the powder. Ah, it's so pretty!!
After that, I let it sit for a few minutes to cool down.
Then, I grabbed a few inks and blended them all over the image using a blending brush. Notice how the embossing powder resist the ink! LOVE IT!
Now that my background is prepped...I'm ready to embellish the card with stamps!
I embossed the mermaid and then colored her in with markers. Then, I fussy cut her out and used foam squares to mount her on the card. I followed the same steps for the cute shark. :)
Isn't this super pretty!? It's a bit too girly for me...but I love it. :)
