Scene Builder Stencils Easter Card

Scene Builder Stencils Easter Card

Hello crafty friends! Lauren here, sharing this card with a variety of brand new items from Brutus Monroe!

I started with the awesome new set of scene builder stencils. It comes in a pack with a cloud stencil and a grass stencil. I started by stenciling the grass along the bottom of an Alabaster cardstock panel with DecoFoil gel. I set it aside to dry while I stamped the tulips from the stamp of the month subscription, and a bunny from the new Inspiration box. I used my Zig clean color real brush markers to color the flowers and the bunny, and fussy cut them all out.

When the DecoFoil gel was dry, I ran it twice through my laminator with the new green flock transfer sheets from Therm-o-Web! They are so much fun! Definitely easier to use than the old school clumps of flocking powder that we used to try to glue down. It peeled off like a dream, and I was left with such a fun textured grass at the bottom. Then I took the "Rock Candy" surface ink and used it along the top of the panel with the cloud stencils. I took a tiny paintbrush and used it to paint Fallen Snow glitter glaze along the stenciled cloud lines. It did lose some of the crisp lines of the stenciling behind the paste, but I like the overall look of the glittery clouds.

I arranged the tulips and the bunny, along with some egg confetti from the Inspiration box, along the bottom of the panel and glued it all in place. I stamped the sentiment from the inspiration box onto Alabaster cardstock with Raven detail ink and trimmed it into a vertical banner shape, popping it up in the clouds with foam tape. I finished it off by adhering the whole panel to a slightly larger card base of Alabaster cardstock.
