Rockstar pets with Peter

Hi everyone! It's Peter here from Peter's Treasury. I'm here to share a fun card I made with one of the Rockstar Pets in the spotlight.

I'm an animal lover in general, but I'm a real dog lover too. So I for sure had to use the dog out of this fun stamp set.

I started with making a fun background first to see what I would come up with for the dog.
The Digi Drops stencil was a perfect match with the Rockstar Pets for me. It feels like one of those audio visualizers when playing music from your computer.

I cut a stitched rectangle and blended on the stencil sideways, both left and right on the rectangle. But there is a little more to see on the left then on the right, to create an asymmetrical look op the card.
The ink I used for that is Distress Oxides in the colors Chipped Sapphire and a touch of Mermaid Lagoon.

To finish the background off, I splattered on some metallic gold paint to give it an super cool look.

I stamped the sentiment 'You are a Rockstar!' that's in the set right in the part that's still open. Perfect! I adhered it to a kraft paper card base that gives the rectangle a little border with thin foam tape.

Now I also knew what I wanted to do with the Rockstar dog. I heat embossed him with gold embossing powder and started coloring him in with the same paint I used to splatter the background, but thinned it down some more so it would be very light.

After I adhered the dog in just the right spot on the card, I added some clear drops to finish off the card.

And that’s it, all done!
