Pumpkin Pie (Oct Die of the month)

Pumpkin Pie (Oct Die of the month)

When I saw this month's Die of the Month Easy as Pie, I HAD to make this recipe card.  This is my favorite Pumpkin pie recipe.  Last night I created this recipe card on the Brutus Monroe You Tube Channel.  You can find that video here.

I started with using up some leftovers.  First the recipe card itself is 8.5" x 5.5" piece of orange paper.  Then I found another piece of orange cardstock scrap that I had used Orange Chroma Glaze and the X-Stitch stencil on and a piece of leftover patterned paper and attached them to the front of my recipe card base.

Next I layered my recipe on some brown cardstock.  (I printed my recipe on the computer and printed it on some orange cardstock.) After I adhered the recipe it was time for embellishments.

For the Crusts I cut them from some lunch bag cardstock and then blended some Simon Hurley Create. Grr Ink.  For the Pumpkin insides, I used orange cardstock scraps and blended it with Simon Hurley Create. Traffic Cone ink. For the whipped cream I painted the white die cut pieces with watered down Pearl Shimmer spray for some sparkle.

The oven mitts were from some scrap plaid paper.  And the pumpkins from from the Halloween Tier Tray Add on set.  The bottom layer was orange cardstock and the top detail layer was cut out of Aqua Pigment paper that was sprayed with Orange and Yellow Chroma Mists.
