Pineapple Card

Pineapple Card

Hey there everyone, it's Cassie here with a fun mixed media card!  This one has some detail, so let's jump right in.  For starters, I used some of the Brutus Monroe White Gesso on one of the Pineapple Chipboard to prep the surface.  When that was dry, I used the Green Aqua Pigment on my leaves, and then was quite generous with some Sunshine Glitter Glaze for my actual pineapple.  Once I was happy with the amount of Glitter Glaze, I used my palette knife to make marks that would resemble that of an actual pineapple.  Then I set that aside to dry while I worked on my card base.

I cut down the purple striped paper from the Color Companion - Polka Stripe paper.    Using the June Die of the Month, I cut out a panel to place on top of my purple patterned paper, and glued that in place.  I stamped out my sentiment, which comes from the new set Feathered Homes, onto some more white cardstock using the Brutus Monroe Clear Embossing Ink and then used the Embossing Powder of the Month.

At this point I decided to use a little heat on my pineapple to speed up the drying process on that Glitter Glaze.  Once it was dry to the touch, I rubbed some surface ink over the top in the colors Jack O' Lantern, Terracotta, and Sage.  Once again, I dried the ink with my heat tool, and then used some liquid glue to get everything adhered.

This was such a fun project for me to do. . .one I just really got lost in doing.  I do have a video for this one, if you happen to be a visual learner like myself.  Just head on over to my YouTube Channel (Cassie Trask).

Thanks for stopping in!

Cassie
