Owl Love You coloring and Watercolor background

Owl Love You coloring and Watercolor background

Hello everyone!
I hope you all are having a great day! I'm sharing a project with you using the Owl Love you stamp set and surafce inks.
I started with a piece of  Aqua pigment paper using Surface Inks; Aubergine, Cabbage and Locomotive, but for this I will not be spraying them. Instead I will be using them like watercolors. I dumped a bit of each ink on to my work surface and spritzed the Aqua Pigment watercolor paper with water. Then I added the ink with a watercolor paint brush. Watching these inks feather out as it hits the water is so fun to watch. Luckily I will have a video up tomorrow (for the blog hop) showing this technique. Then I set aside to dry.
While my background dried I stamped the owls from the Owl Love you stamp set on to Alabaster 100lb card stock, using Raven detail ink. Then I colored with Copic markers.
The colors I used are:
E81, E74, E43
W9, W3, W1, C1
Y15, Y02
I also used a white gel pen and a black pen to add texture/ dots to the owls. These owls already have some great texture from the stamp, so I just played off of that.
I fussy cut the owls then used the Yellow Aqua Pigment on another piece of Aqua Pigment paper, mixing it also with Pearl Aqua Pigment to give it some shine. After that was dry I die cut it with a circle die.
Now that my background piece is dry I stamped and heat embossed the owl sentiment with Brutus Monroe embossing ink and Alabaster embossing powder and also die cut that panel with a rectangle die.
I layered a piece of Sidewalk card stock over top of a A2 cardbase then added a layer of Alabaster card stock. Now I can adhere the watercolor background, the yellow Aqua pigment moon and my fussy cut owls.
Thank you all so much for joining me today!
Jessica  ❤
