Owl Love You Shaker Card with the July Die Club

Owl Love You Shaker Card with the July Die Club

Hey there my crafty friends and welcome to the Brutus Monroe Inspiration Team Blog. Daniel, here, with a shaker card using the cutest owl stamp in the world along with the Die of the Month.

The Brutus Monroe Die Club is a monthly subscription in which you will receive a brand new A2 size cover all die each and every month. Each die will work and coordinate with the other subscription products offered within that subscription month.

I used the die two ways to create this card: die cutting and die embossing.

To begin, Inked up two panels with my blender tools from dark violet to yellow. I die cut one of them using July's die. I set the other one aside for a backing.

Then, I die embossed a white panel by running the die through my Gemini machine with the rubber mat between the cardstock and the cutting plate. This creates an embossed panel instead of a cutting the paper.

Next, I used a circle die to create a shaker window and adhered a piece of acetate behind it with some double-sided tape. Then, I adhered the die cut ombré panel to the back of the white embossed panel.

To pop up the front window panel, I used some Brutus Monroe double-thick foam tape around the back. I poured out some flat back pearls in mixed colors onto the ombré panel I had inked up earlier and popped up my shaker window over it all.

Then, I stamped out the owls with some Raven Detail Ink and colored them in with my alcohol markers. I fussy cut them out and adhered them to the front of the panel.

To finish off the card, I stamped out the sentiment, "Owl Always Love You" from the Owl Love You Stamp Set onto some white cardstock. I trimmed it down, rounded the corners with my chomper and adhered it to the front of my card.

I hope you enjoyed this card. It was a real treat to make. For your convenience, I have added a list of supplies below. I hope you'll give it a try or make one like it! Remember to create your own ending!
