Outer Space with Guest Designer, Koren Wiskman!
Hello everyone. Koren Wiskman here with a card project using the Brutus Monroe Outer Space Stamp set. I absolutely love this stamp set. As soon as I saw it, I couldn’t wait to color it.
I hope you enjoy my card project today. Please check me out over on my personal blog at www.korenwiskman.com.
I started with a piece of navy blue cardstock. I cut this piece to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4. I took all of the solid star images from the Outer Space stamp set and inked them up with clear embossing ink. I wanted a line of stars in no particular order running down the left side of my back panel.
These stars are going to live behind the focal image and sentiment. I placed this panel onto a gray card base, cut to standard A2 size in top folding orientation. It was popped up using white craft foam and double sided adhesive.
The focal image on my card is the largest image from the Outer Space stamp set. It looks like a beautifully crafted zentangled scene of space crafty goodness. I stamped it on my regular white cardstock with black ink.
Once the ink was dry I used colored pencils to color my main image as well as the subsequent images that are popped up around it. They were cut out using my electric cutting machine. I used foam tape to adhere them all to the navy blue panel already attached to the card base.
The sentiment, which is also from the Brutus Monroe Outer Space stamp set was stamped with the same clear ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used my paper trimmer to trim it down to size and foam tape to stick it in place.
Thats it! That is my card project for this post. I would like to thank everyone at Brutus Monroe for having me as a guest designer, this has been a great experience and I look forward to the next one.
