One Layer Masked Split Design

One Layer Masked Split Design

Hello crafty friends! Lauren here, sharing a simple one-layer card with a floral design. I started by cutting a strip of purple tape in half with my paper trimmer and placing it across the middle of a panel of Alabaster cardstock. I blended some Honeysuckle surface ink, concentrating in the center by the tape and slowly fading out towards the top and bottom. Using the tiniest bit of Rouge surface ink, I darkened it slightly towards the tape. Then I stamped the floral image from the Conservatory of Quotes stamp set with Raven detail ink. I squished the Rouge and Honeysuckle surface inks onto my craft mat and spritzed them with water. Using a paintbrush, I flicked drops all over the card panel. When the purple tape was removed it leaves a nice clean space across the middle. I stamped the sentiment with Raven detail ink, and added the lines with a black pen. The result is a clean and simple one layer card! I decided to pop the whole card front onto another Alabaster panel with some foam tape, just to give it a little dimension, but it will still mail really well in an envelope!
