Take your colored cardstock and trim to a hair more than 1 1/4 inch wide. Adhere to a scrap A2 panel (make 2 of these). Stamp both of these card panels with your ice cream truck image using a stamp positioner in the same exact spot. Then heat embossed one of the trucks with Raven embossing powder. One panel is for the base and the other is for popping up (embossed image). Fussy cut the embossed truck and pop it up onto the non-embossed colorful panel with foam tape.
Stamp your ice cream image (no need for the whole truck) onto some Alabaster card stock with Raven ink. On a piece of plastic--I like to save the packaging from my stamp sets or paper packs--smoosh your distress oxide inks and squirt with a tiny bit of water. Now dip your ice cream cone into the colors, dabbing off with a paper towel, covering the whole image. It helps to allow the ink to dry between dips as this prevents the inks from over blending and becoming muddy.
Fussy cut your ice cream cone and glue directly to your popped up truck. A few sequins and a sentiment and your no-colored colorful card is done!
I often find myself getting carried away with the ink smooshing technique and I hope you will too! It's a great technique for backgrounds as well! Tag me on Instagram @katedeignancards with your ink smooshed creations. I can't wait to see them!
