Mixed Media Ocean Wall Hanging

Mixed Media Ocean Wall Hanging

Hey everyone!  It's Cassie here on the blog with a mixed media project using lots of amazing Brutus Monroe products!  Recently my family was in Monterey, CA, celebrating my father-in-law's retirement, so of course we found ourselves on the beach for a bit.  My daughter and I had to take some selfies there, and this particular picture happened to be my favorite.

To make my wall hanging, I started out by covering my Scalloped Edge Jumbo Chipboard Tag with some White Gesso.  When that was dry I added some texture with the Media Paste along with the Stencil of the Month.  Next came the Sandcastle Embossing Powder, and the Blue Jay Chroma Glaze along with the Pearl Chroma Glaze.  When all of that was dry I added more texture with the Alabaster Embossing Powder, and covered the 'water' with some Locomotive Surface Ink.

Once the background was done, I added the picture and stamped out my sentiments using the Take Flight Stamp set.  I absolutely LOVE how this turned out and plan on giving it to my daughter as a gift for her birthday.  If you'd like to see how I made this project you can find it HERE on my YouTube channel.

I hope you were inspired today to get out there and get inky.  As always, thanks for stopping by!

~Cassie
