Merry And Bright

Merry And Bright

Aqua Pigments are so versatile.  You can paint with them, use them to splatter a background, and even make a dripped background (stay tuned to my Instagram @katedeignancards for that card!)

Aqua Pigment in Blue
Alabaster Cardstock
Vellum paper
Ornaments Standalone Die set
Mixed Media Stencil Quilt Lace
I painted a watercolor panel with the Aqua Pigment.  After it dried, I laid the Quilt stencil on top and dabbed my Aqua Pigment through the stencil with a sponge dauber.  This gives the card a tone on tone effect.
While that panel was drying, I diecut the Ornament dies from Alabaster Cardstock, pressed them into some clear embossing ink and dipped them into the Sterling embossing powder.  You can do this once or several times depending on the look you want.  The vellum is for the backs of the ornaments (I thought it made the ornaments look like glass!)
Assembly is pretty straight forward.  I added some thin silver thread as the strings for the ornaments and stamped the sentiment in Raven Ink.
I'd love to see how you use our Aqua Pigments!  Tag me on Instagram @katedeignancards!

This is gorgeous! I’m in full Christmas cardmaking mode this month and I’m loving the inspiration I see here! Just popping in to say THANK YOU for sponsoring the 2021 Cat Lovers Hop with Janis at Her Peaceful Garden! You have offered an awesome prize – please know that your generosity is much appreciated!

Thank you for being a sponsor for the Cat Lovers Hop. I don’t know if I’m in the right place. I’m new to the hop.
