Love is in the Air
Good Day Friends,
It is time for us to get ready for the next card giving holiday -- Valentine's Day! Everyone enjoys getting a card letting them know they are in someone's thoughts. This fun card was made using the fun Stencil of the Month by Brutus Monroe. This is the one from January.
This card is a square 6" x 6" and works well with the heart stencil. First, using the stencil and liquid adhesive, center the design in the middle of the layer one and add gold flakes to create the focal image. Mask the gold flake image and using the stencil and red ink finish the stenciling of the card layer. Next cut out a few small hearts and one large heart in raven (black) cardstock. The sentiment from a Valentine stamp set was embossed in Alabaster on a Raven cardstock banner and the cute butterfly from the Butterfly Heart stamp set was cut out and colored using StyleFile Markers and attached using foam tape. (Added gold thread behind the butterfly.) Layer one for this card measures 5 3/4" x 5 3/4". This layer one was glued to the square card base in raven.
