Looking at Stamps a little Differently

Looking at Stamps a little Differently

Hey everyone, it's Cassie here!  I wanted to stop in today to talk about looking at our stamps a little differently.  Last week, I used the Tree of Thanks stamp set to make a fun Fall card.  It was Fall in color and the tree seemed full after I was done painting it.  Today, I decided to use the same set, but I wanted to see if I could make it a bit spooky.  So I ink blended all over my panel of watercolor paper, and then stamped my tree using some Raven Detail Ink.  I splattered water on the panel and you could even add some Aqua Pigment Pearl to add some shimmer.

The sentiment comes from the Super Sentimental stamp set, and I stamped that using some Embossing Ink and covered it with some Alabaster Embossing Powder.  I used a small strip of the Haunted Mansion Paper and mounted everything to my Sidewalk Cardstock card base.

I'm so happy with the result.  So, I challenge you to take a look at the stamps you own and see if you can make them work for more than one theme.  If you'd like to see how I made it, I do have a video over on my YouTube channel HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cassie
