Light the Way
Hey, friends! Its Marie here from MARIE NICOLE DESIGNS. I get to share a fun light-up card today featuring some of the goodies in the November Inspiration Box. This box is packed with crafty supplies!

I started my card by grabbing a piece of Neenah cardstock and trimming it down a little smaller than an A2 sized card front. I then used the Sweater Simple Blend from the Inspiration Box to ink bend a green sweater to the front of my card.
I wanted to add some plaid designs to the sweater, so I placed the Simple Blend along with the card front into my MISTI and stamped the little Plaid Background stamp right over the Simple Blend stencil. This allowed me to stamp the design only onto the sweater while keeping the rest of my card front clean.
I then used one of the shapes on the Simple Blend to add a reindeer to the front of the sweater with some Gilded Glitter Glaze. I added some tiny googly eyes to give the reindeer a more comical look.
To make this card light up, I used a craft pick to poke three holes into the reindeer. Two on the antlers, and one on the nose. Then, using a light up Power Pack from Pear Blossom Press, I added the three little lights by taping them into place on the backside of the card. I then popped up the whole card base onto foam adhesive and adhered to the card base!
All you need to do is just push the little button hidden behind the card front and watch it light up! I have a little post it note that I wrote "press here" on, and I will stick it right over the button before mailing this out so the recipient will know where to press.
This was a simple card to make, but one of my favorite Christmas cards this year!
