Let's TACOBOUT Stamped Backgrounds with Jess

Hey y'all!

Jess here - and I'm turning up the tasty with today's card featuring 'I Love You More Than Tacos.' If you get to know me, one of the first things you'll learn is that I'm obsessed with all things Mexican Food. I'm too embarrassed to tell you how many times we go to our favorite Mexican restaurant each month, so just trust me when I say 'I love tacos!' (and burritos, and chimichangas, and chips, and salsa, and.....)

Okay, anyway! Let's TACObout how I made this card. I started off with the taco image and a blank piece of white cardstock. I grabbed some light grey ink and stamped the taco image repeatedly to create my background. Then I came back through with the sentiment and stamped that in the open spaces. This gave me a cool background that looks like patterned paper!

Next, I cut some patterned cardstock from my scrap stash and a strip of black cardstock as well. I popped the patterned strip up on foam for dimension and tied some cute red and white twine around the top of my card front.

Then, I grabbed to taco image and colored it with my Copic markers. I fussy cut the shape of the taco and then adhered it to my patterned strip. I cut a little piece of black cardstock and heat embossed my sentiment, 'I love you more than tacos...' I cut a diagonal slant at the end for a bit of added interest. To finish off my card, I added some cute green sequins and then topped them with glossy accents for a cool, rounded look.

I love the way this card came out and now I'm officially hungry for some tacos. What about you guys - Do you love tacos? What's your favorite food? Leave me a comment down below to let me know!
