I love you Abstract art Valentines card

Hi everyone! It is Verity here again from Pretty Little Buttonso good to be back up on the blog again. Not long till Valentines day, so have you made your cards yet? If not, I have this lovely elegant card using soft greys and pinks along with the beautiful Penny embossing powder. So read on to find out how to make it!

I love you Abstract art Valentines card details:

To start this card you will need to create the background. I used a stamp from the Abstract art stamp set (which I love!) and used Apricot surface ink to stamp this repeatedly on a white card panel. For added interest, I applied a small amount of a marker pen to the stamp, the dabbed some of the colour off with a paper towel before apply the Apricot colour. This gives a more distress and muted colour, adding variation and interest. I really like the look, and I feel the stamp I choose also looked a little like an artsy flower.

I mounted a die cut heart in grey card onto the panel and stamped two cameo stamps from the Create a Cameo stamp set in embossing ink. These were heat set in Penny embossing powder. I repeated this several times so get a smooth clean surface to the embossing. Once set, these were fussy cut out and foam mounted onto the heart.

I used two sentiments for this card, from Botanical Banners and True Love Luggage stamp set, and foam mounted these onto the card in one corner. The whole panel was foam mounted onto a card base, and lastly I finished the card with some clear Nuvo Drops.
