I Hope You Have a Lucky Day Card/Nicole Martel

Good morning friends! I have a pretty card to share with you using the Strawberry Special Stamp Set. This card turned out much prettier than I had initially planned... maybe because it took me a few cards...that were tossed. :) We all have those days, don't we?

To begin, I stamped the Strawberry Special Stamps (BRU9364) using Embossing Ink.

Then, I poured the Raven Embossing Powder all over the stamped images and then I applied heat to the powder until the powder turned shiny.

Next, I used a blending brush to blend in the red ink all over the embossed images.

After that I colored the top and bottom part of the card using green ink. I just stamped the pad right onto the card so it was a deep dark green hue.

I wrapped the pink ribbon around the card base prior to mounting it onto the A2 card base.

The card looked like it needed a little more color...so I decided to emboss a few more images to fussy cut to use on the card.

I used a dry brush and ink to color in the images and then cut them out using scissors. I press the brush lightly over the images for a light color and pressed harder along the edges to create the shadow. I'm no expert in stamping, but I was pretty pleased with how this turned out!

Next, I colored in some other images and fussy cut them out to pop them on the card using foam squares.

Isn't this so pretty? I used the swirl metal die from the Simply Sweet Dies and border to use for the bottom of the card.

Here are some images of the card at a closer glance.

What do you think? It's a little different, but I'm liking it. Thank you so much for visiting today!
