Hoppy Easter Easel Card

Hoppy Easter Easel Card

Hi there! Shannon here with another “new to me” card fold. I am really enjoying broadening my horizons in the way of card folds. This is an easel card with a fun little twist. The additional panel on the inside creates the easel and is a perfect place to write a message or add a gift card.

To get started, cut your card base to 4 ½ x 11 inches.

Score at 2 ¾ inches and at 5 ½ inches and fold.

Cut a second base for the inside to 9 x 3 ½ inches and fold in half at 4 ½ inches.

Cut the front card panel to 4 x 5 1/4 inches and adhere,

Add a second layer to the bottom portion of the front panel using a piece of patterned paper cut to 4 x 1 ¾ inches.

Cut a piece of patterned paper to 4 x 2 ½ inches. Adhere this piece to the upper half of the bottom portion inside the cardbase (below the scored line).

In order to give your easel card a stable way to stand, you will need to pop up some type of embellishment to tuck the card behind.

Refer to the video to get a better idea of this and to see how I used the Cotton Tail dies and Hippity Hoppity Chit Chat to put this card together.
