HOP + Stamps and Stencils

Hello everyone!! Welcome back to our blog, to our Hop. Our Mixed Media Team is using our Stamps and Stencils!! If you have not seen them yet, hop over here to see them in our store BrutusMonroe.com.

We hope that you find some inspiration in the projects our team put together.

To start this project hop along, BreAnn has created a project using our stamps and stencils:

First, I stamped the happy birthday stamp from the So Emotional stamp set onto Alabaster cardstock. I used the simple blends star mask to mask off the sentiment. Next, I used the locomotive stencil and a rainbow of inks through the stencil. Once that was finished, I used Glitter Glaze-Alabaster over the stencil to add some sparkle. I die cut a paper from the Bold Rainbow patterned paper pack as a backing layer for my panel. I really love how this bright rainbow birthday card turned out!

Next up on our hop, Jeanne has used Brutus Monroe's stamps and stencils:
Hello again crafty peeps!! This week I am bringing you something simple yet cute! This card is a square 5.5 X 5.5 size. This week were to use a stamp and , I added more using some other favorite products. I first painted the surface which is Brutus Monroe Not Your Mamas White Card Stock using Brutus Monroe Aqua Pigment Ink in Penny (BRU231). I then used the Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze in Apricot (BRU1869) and Alabaster(BRU1876)! It was my first time using the Apricot color and I love it just as much as I love the other ones I've used! So I applied them on the Brutus Monroe Jagged Heart Stencil (BRU5961) .

Lots Of Hugs~ Jeanne

For our next inspirational post using stamp and stencils Jenn created a clean and simple card:

To start this project I used the Chevron stencil on black cardstock. I used palette knife and applied the Glitter Glazes and Chroma glaze through the stencil at an angle. After drying I adhered the background to a lime cardstock and then to my white card base. I stamped the sentiment and embossed with Raven embossing powder, placed on the same lime cardstock and then adhered to the card using foam adhesive for dimension. Thanks!

Jenn

This next project Nicole used our stamps and stencils to create her card:

For this weeks project, I decided to do an entry in my art journal.  This page had a base started with acrylic paints.  I typically have a lot of these already done because I don't like to waste any paint.  When I'm working on a project and find that I have left over acrylics on my palette, I'll put them on an art journal page to use later. That's what I started with here.  I used the sunshine simple blends stencil for the sun, I stamped flowers from the Inked Flowers stamp set and heat embossed for the floral elements and the butterfly simple blends stencil stamped over with a flower stamp to create the butterfly.  I added several layers of stamping, embossing, splattering, doodling and more to create this page.

Enjoy!

Nicole

Our last project on our Mixed Media hop using Stencils is by Liz:

I created this using the Peacock stencil from Brutus Monroe. I took the Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze and created an outward gradient from the offset center.
After drying it with the heat gun I took a piece of vellum and stamped the Enjoy Every Moment stamp from the Succulent - 6x6 Backround Stamp. I stamped it with embossing ink and used the heat gun to set it. I fussy cut around the sentiment.  I then wrapped the card with string, added the sentiment with foam tape for some dimension and then finished it with some sparkly sequins. I really like the simplicity of this card.
